For Employees

Supports will be provided to participants in three different ways:

Support to obtain equipment:  In order to be able to work in the field there are numerous of things required to start up.  All participants must have work boots, a half face or full face mask with filters and sometimes a hard hat..

Support to obtain training and testing:   When a youth is registered in an Employment Ontario program, they are able to access training support dollars to provide financial assistance to cover the cost of the training program.  They are also able to cover the testing fees. Youth will be encouraged to register with an Employment Ontario program so that RSE can support them to access these sources of financial assistance.

Support at the work site:   Many of our clients have had struggles with maintaining employment and may not have developed strong, healthy workplace habits.  The local business developer is able to act as an intermediary between the employer and the employee to help resolve issues before they result in severe consequences.  Often employers may have difficulty expressing feedback to clients in a constructive way.  The business developer will be able to bridge this gap by facilitating communication between employers and clients.  In addition, through the Employment Ontario partnership, youth who require additional support and direction are able to obtain employment counselling and workplace skill building workshops.
